The table below serves as a guide in estimating your structured cabling install for our serviceable area (Dallas-Fort Worth-Denton). Please determine the number of network "drops" you will need by counting up all of the voice (VOIP) and computer connections, including but not limited to: conference rooms, kitchens, printers, and warehouses-- in short, anywhere else you may think you need a data or voice connection. If your network install is occurring during new construction a graphic, floor plan or even a hand drawing with these locations diagramed would be very helpful.
Supposing your ceiling is a suspension grid (otherwise known as a standard "drop ceiling")*, multiply the number of connections you will need by $150. This price includes both Cat6e cabling as well as keystone jacks, wall mounts, RJ45 heads or other parts.
Assuming that your project does not meet any of the criteria listed below * and is a well diagramed, straight forward install, the table below is a good indicator as to what the cost will be installing your network. Please be aware that for an exact quote a site survey will be necessary. We do this free of charge so feel free to reach out to us via our contact page or call (469) 305-9043
Smaller Network Cabling Installs are always billed on a "time and materials" basis. The labor for installs in the Dallas-Ft. Worth-Denton areas such as these would typically run $95/hour per man with a $50 trip fee. Materials are prices on a per drop basis and likely run approximately $50/drop.
Assuming that your project does not meet any of the construction criteria listed at the bottom of this page* an approximation for cost per drop is reflected in the table below:
Almost always, structured cable installations have a central point where the majority of the cables end up-- typically the server room or network hub. Depending on how sophisticated your network is designed to be, your hardware requirements for this central location can vary. If you do not require any additional hardware, i.e., a panel, switch, network rack, etc., then the information above is suitable to get an idea of the cost of your installation. However, it is always best to schedule a site survey so we can tell you the exact cost of what your looking to implement. We do this at no cost so please feel free to call 469-305-9043.
As stated above, network installations can be involved and very often there is more to it then laying the cables. Therefore, once you have determined how many drops you are going to need, you should also consider whether you are going to need additional hardware. We can help you with determining if wall mounts, patch panels, server racks, UPS, patch cables (and the management of these) is needed. This we do at no cost, so please reach out via our contact page or call 469-305-9043.
